Terms and Conditions

  • Riders age as at 1st January 2020
  • It is compulsory for all riders to wear hats/helmets to British Standard Riding Hats conforming to BS PAS 105 1998, BS En 1384, ASTMF 1163 95 whilst mounted
  • No Horse/Pony to compete more than once in any one class. No horse or pony may compete in more than 2 classes. Stallions by prior agreement only.
  • Body protectors & Medical Arm Bands (please do not wear a friends as false information could be fatal) must be worn whilst competing.
  • Competitors must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials, Stewards and Fence Judges at all times. Failure to do so will result in elimination. Outside assistance to any horse or rider whilst on the course is forbidden and will result in elimination. Help may be given to a competitor following a fall to catch their horse and remount.
  • Collecting ring/practice area, please use with care and jump fences strictly red flag to the right and white flag to the left.
  • If a competitor receives first aid treatment whilst competing they will only be allowed to continue if the medics consider they are fit to do so.
  • Dogs must be kept on short leads & under control at all times, and young children must be supervised.
  • Please remove all earrings and remove or over tape body piercings.
  • The organisers reserve the right to alter any part of the programme as weather or any other condition requires.
  • Any horse jumping HC must remain so for the rest of the competition. After 3 refusals at any one fence a rider may continue at the discretion of the fence judge, but must not in any way impede other competitors.
  • Horses and Ponies must not be left unattended in the lorry park unless secured correctly INSIDE a trailer or horse box.
  • The judge’s decision in consultation with the organiser is final. Objections must be lodged with the secretary together with £20 within 30 minutes of the incident.
  • The organisers reserve the right to close or cancel a class, refuse an entry, withhold a prize or disqualify a competitor for any reason they deem necessary.
  • In the event of cancellation, an administration fee of £3 will be retained and the balance of the entry be refunded on receipt of a self addressed envelope
  • Any behaviour deemed inappropriate by the Organisers will result in removal from the premises without refund.
  • All reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure the health and safety of everyone present, but persons attending do so entirely at their own risk. The landowners, organisers or their officials will not be held responsible for any theft, loss, accidents or damage or illness to persons, animals or property arising from any cause whatsoever connected with these Hunter Trials.
